Aglianico is a varietal with ancient roots and historical significance in Greece and Rome. It is most commonly grown today in Southern Italy but is not well known or often grown in California. We are especially pleased to offer its unique dark and rich characteristics grown from our local soil. This is a flavorful, savory, full bodied wine grown from our almost black grapes. Known by winemakers to be a tiger to tame, we are proud of how well we have been able to tame this beast, to become robust, unique but without the usual harsh finish. Our reserve is aged for over 2 years in our cellar.
